‘Slice of Paradise’ in Croatia

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAMonika Vasiljević and Igor Družeta have a novel idea of how to turn their dream into reality.  They moved to an old property in Kupec dol, a small village located near the capital of Croatia. Their property lies beneath hills that are covered in forests where drinkable water runs. The countryside is ideal for cyclists, climbers and paragliders who enjoy the untouched surroundings.

Monika and Igor have a ‘plan’ with a dual purpose; they are opening their home to visitors and instead of the traditional ‘B&B’ (Bed & Breakfast), they are creating a camping spot on their property.  It is early days yet but they have great plans to turn their little ‘slice of paradise’ into a comfortable and peaceful place to stop on your travels.  They are offering a unique and personal experience – they can take you on a tour of the local countryside and introduce you to the local produce and culture.  Their aim is to provide a memorable experience for you as you travel through Croatia as well as draw attention to their part of the world and it’s special attractions.  They have put together some pretty good ‘packages’ – each one is personalized by them with local produce.  The best part is that everyone who stays with them contributes towards the growth of a dream (their ‘campaign’) and can leave their own ‘footprint’ behind in the form of a tree planted or your name recorded somewhere in the camp as a visitor and a contributor to their dream.  Sounds awesome I think … I would urge you to visit their site and have a read.
