The very first thing you need to decide is how the weather would be at the place you have selected for camping. Autumn and spring are the best seasons to go for a camping in the mountains.

Camping trips are usually accompanied with lot of mischief and adventure. Hence, its safe to have a first aid box containing variety of antibiotic ointments, bandages, and alcohol or peroxide to clean a wound. It would also be a good idea to carry a sunscreen and a bug-repellant along.

Since it gets very dark in the mountains when the sun goes down, carrying battery-powered lights, along with extra batteries are a necessity.

Clean water for cooking and drinking is the prime necessity. Also food needs to be kept on ice to prevent it from spoiling. Hence it is better to have instant ready-to-eat foods, so that you can unh wheneer you feel hungry. Plastic containers with lids are optimal for keeping animals from smelling and being attracted to food. It would be ideal to keep food in the car, to prevent its access from animals.

Since Nature is unpredictable on the mountains, it’s necessary to have waterproof tents. It’s also a good idea to have extra plastic sheeting to keep things dry as well as plenty of dry clothes to change into.

Before you can choose the ultimate place for your tent, you must decide where it is you want to sleep. The destination can play a huge factor in getting a peaceful nights rest which is very important to enjoy the next day. Just choosing a flat tent spot isn’t good enough. To have the best camping experience it is essential that we choose a place which is in close proximity with nature and is also away from crowds.
