The Great Yosemite Family Adventure

Explore all the wonders of the Yosemite Valley on a guided treasure hunt. You can team up with your family members to solve puzzles, clues and riddles throughout approximately three miles of trails using a GPS unit. You will also be helped by a DNC P&R interpretive naturalist to assist you in putting all the clues together to discover the history of the area’s pioneers, protectors, and adventurers.

The Junior Ranger Program

Let your children discover Yosemite as a Little Cub or Junior Ranger. Using self-guided booklets from the Yosemite Conservancy Center, your children will be engaged in various activities to earn their Junior Ranger or Little Cub patch, which is sure to become a treasured souvenir of their Yosemite adventures.

Ranger Ned’s Big Adventure

The entire family will love this interactive and educational play presented by the Traveling Lantern Theater Company at the Curry Village Amphitheater. You’ll take a trek with rookie Ranger Ned and experience Yosemite in a truly unique and engaging way.

Enjoy a Day of Arts and Crafts

Check out the art activities for the younger set at the Yosemite Arts Center. They can take classes such as “Painting Yosemite from the Heart”, and take home a masterpiece that reflects their Yosemite experiences.

See All the Famous Sites

No visit to Yosemite is complete without visiting all of the famous and iconic sites including:

• The Mariposa Grove of Giant Sequoias where you can walk among the towering sequoias and visit the General Sherman, the largest living thing in the world.

Glacier Point and Badger Pass to experience the soaring views of Half Dome, the High Sierra and the Yosemite Valley.
