KOA Campgrounds in Louisiana

The state of Louisiana has four state regulated KOA campgrounds. All of which are centrally located to many local attractions. Whether you’re a history buff, a museum lover or adventure seeker each of the four locations offer plenty of nearby attractions to entertain you and the family when you’re away from the campground.

BATON ROUGE KOA

This campground is open year around. They have RV rental sites with a 75 foot pull through, cabins for rent and tent sites available. All of which come with an AMP service of 20, 30, 50 or 100. They also have cable TV free of charge and wireless internet access.

They also offer a swimming pool with a ten foot waterfall, a wading pool for the little ones, sauna and hot tubs, a picnic area. The property next door to the campground has baseball fields, basketball courts, tennis courts and a mile long biking and walking path. For a small fee you can play mini golf.

The activity center offers a large buffet breakfast on Saturday and Sunday as well as a Saturday night dinner party.

Looking to see some of the local sites you can choose from several plantations, museums, swamp tours, zoo, amusement park and a water park all within a short driving distance.

LAFAYETTE KOA

This campground offers RV sites, cabins including a deluxe version for a true home away from home experience and tent sites. All of which come with 50 AMP service and free cable TV, and wireless internet connection.

The campground has a swimming pool, fishing, tours and mini golf course for a small fee. They also have a recreation center with planned activities for kids, adults and the whole family.

Once you leave the campground you can visit plantations, museums, shopping and historical landmarks as well as alligator swamp tours.

NEW ORLEANS WEST KOA

At this campground you will find RV sites with a 50 foot pull through and tent sites. They are open all year round and offer free cable and wireless internet connections.

They also offer tours and planned activities it is a rather small campground. The local scenery includes French Quarter, casinos, swamp tours, zoo, aquarium and museums.

SHREVEPOT KOA

The fourth and final KOA campground in the state of Louisiana, it is open all year to guests and RV sites, tent sites and cabins. RV’s have a 95 foot pull through! Each site offers free cable and internet service. A nice camping kitchen is also provided in the meeting room.

On site activities include a swimming pool, fishing, hot tub and sauna. Local attractions include auto racing, casinos, golfing and shopping.
