Visit an amusement park. If you live close to an amusement park, spend the day there with your kids. They will enjoy riding rides and playing games and winning prizes. If you want to save some money, pack your lunch and snacks instead of buying at the park.
If you do not have an amusement park nearby, most counties and some cities have local festivals and fairs. Even some churches have them. You can still ride rides and play games and they may be cheaper on your wallet.

Plant a garden with them. Have them water the plants everyday and they will love seeing their plant grow or having their vegetables come in.
You can even stay busy on rainy days.
Go to museums. A lot of the major cities have some sort of children’s museum or science museum. Just because it is summer, does not mean that children shouldn’t still learn new things. If may surprise how much they enjoy it.
Go to the library. Libraries always have some sort of programs going on, especially in summer since they know that the kids are off school. If you don’t have a program that suits your kids, then just take your kids and let them pick out a book that they may like to read. If you kid likes sports, show him where the sports books are for his age.
The options are endless for summer activates. Be creative. Simple things like washing your car can become a fun time for your kids if you let them help. Don’t let your kids waste their summer away in front of the television, because most likely in a couple of years they will long to have those carefree summer days back.
